Driving Innovation Through Expertise
Through our global R&D network in India and Europe, we continue to pioneer advanced technologies that address complex water treatment requirements, including ZLD applications and emerging contaminants such as per- and polyfluoroalkyl substances (PFAS) and antimicrobial resistance.
Over 125 intellectual properties and proprietary technologies support solutions focused on sustainability, energy recovery and circular water management.
Digitisation and automation initiatives, including centralised plant monitoring through the Chennai NOC and AI-based optimisation pilots at TTRO facilities, are enhancing operational reliability, efficiency and responsiveness.
An AI tool is used also at the Madinat Salman water reclamation plant at Bahrain for the optimization of the biological process.

BLUE SEED
Innovation thrives through collaboration. The BLUE SEED, initiative is part of our broader strategy to foster innovation, support emerging start-ups, and create sustainable value for society. Through our BLUE SEED platform, we have received an encouraging response from water-focused entrepreneurs "Waterpreneurs" and are actively exploring collaboration opportunities through equity investments, pilot deployments, and strategic partnerships.
We recently completed our first coinvestment round alongside IIM Calcutta Innovation Park and Small Industries Development Bank of India (SIDBI) in Nimble Vision, an AI and IoT sensor-based start-up focused on advancing water infrastructure intelligence.
The initiative has also attracted significant interest from leading incubation and academic institutions. We have signed multiple Memorandum of Understanding (MoUs) with IITs and IIMs to accelerate innovation and technology development in the water and wastewater sector. In parallel, we are evaluating a growing pipeline of promising start-ups, assessing their technological capabilities, market viability, and scalability potential to identify opportunities for commercialization and long-term value creation.
